A chemical peel is where a solution is applied to your skin to remove dead skin cells, this solution will then cause a controlled wounding effect that will stimulate new skin cell growth and improve texture and appearance of your skin. There are different peels and strengths to use, your esthetician will determine which peel is best for you depending on your skin concerns.
About Chemical Peels:
Chemical peels can reduce or improve fine line and wrinkles, acne, scars, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone and skin imperfections. They can be combined with other treatments, micro-needling and lasers, to receive better results.

Chemical peels take about 30 mins depending on what peel you receive.

You may have some redness following the peel, it will decrease within a few hours or less. This all depends on the depth of the peel used.

We do suggest having your skin prepped before a peel to get better results, and our esthetician would be happy to go over a skin health plan when you come in for a visit.

When receiving a peel you may feel a mild stinging, slight itching sensation and even a warming of the skin. You may feel these effects a few mins after the peel. Your skin can be red following your peel, but this fades quickly, and it also may feel tight and dry after your peel. We do suggest using sun protection and keeping skin moisturized after treatment to help with this.

Treated areas can take up to 7-12 days to heal, this also depends on what chemical peel was used. Most people have flaking or even peeling of the skin. Usually clients skin will have stopped flaking or peeling two weeks after treatment and their skin will look brighter, smoother and more youthful.

We recommend getting a series of 3-6 peels for your skin to see best results, these are usually done 3-4 weeks apart.
